Selling & consignment
Don't want the hassle of selling it yourself? We photograph it, write it up, list it where serious buyers are looking, and manage the sale from first bid to final transfer.
You hand it over once, and you're done
Selling a firearm yourself means photographing it well, describing it accurately, fielding lowball offers, verifying the buyer's dealer, packing it correctly, and shipping it legally. Any one of those done wrong costs you money or worse.
On consignment, you drop it off and we handle all of it. You get a check when it sells.
What we do
- Photograph it properly — good photos are the single biggest factor in what a gun brings
- Write an honest description — including the flaws, which is what keeps a sale from unravelling later
- List it on GunBroker — where the national buyer pool actually is, not just whoever walks past a shop window
- Manage the sale — questions, bidding, payment, buyer's FFL verification
- Ship it legally — dealer to dealer, correctly packed and documented
What it costs
17% of the final sale price. Nothing up front, nothing if it doesn't sell. We only make money when you do, which keeps our interests pointed the same direction as yours.
Would you rather just sell it outright?
Sometimes waiting isn't worth it. We also buy firearms and collections outright — you'll get less than a good consignment sale would bring, but you get it today and you're finished. See appraisals & buying.
Consignment
From drop-off to check
Bring it in
We look it over together, talk about what it's realistically worth, and agree on a reserve you're comfortable with. No surprises later about what it might bring.
We photograph and write it up
Properly, with the flaws included. An honest listing sells for more than an optimistic one, because buyers trust it.
It goes live on GunBroker
In front of a national audience of people specifically looking for what you have.
We handle the sale
Questions, bids, payment, and verifying the buyer's dealer. You don't field any of it.
You get paid
Once payment clears and the firearm ships, you get your share, less the 17%.
Consignment questions
How long does it usually take to sell?
Depends entirely on what it is and what you'll take for it. Common guns priced sensibly move quickly; unusual or high-dollar pieces can take a while to find the right buyer. We'll give you a realistic read up front.
What if it doesn't sell?
You owe nothing and you get it back. We'll also tell you honestly why we think it didn't move — usually it's the price.
Can I set a minimum?
Yes. We agree on a reserve before it's listed and we don't go below it without talking to you.
What sells well?
Quality used guns in honest condition, complete with boxes and papers where you have them. Beat-up common models are harder, though they still move at the right price.
Do you take whole collections?
Yes — on consignment, or outright if you'd rather be done with it. For estates in particular, see appraisals and buying.
Have something you'd rather not sell yourself?
Bring it in and we'll tell you what it's realistically worth and what it would likely bring on consignment.
